Street Outreach
This program conducts aggressive outreach to youth in all areas of the County in order to:
- Provide critical survival supplies (food, socks, undersear, gloves, hats, etc.)
- Refer teens fo rneeded professional assistance (counseling, medical assistance, etc.)
- Link them to shelter and other services
These same services are available at Cocoon's teen resource drop-in center U-Turn. Outreach is a trust building tool that sets the stage for staff to engage with a teen in a case management mode when she or he decides to take action and leave the streets.
