Hot Meals for Street Dependent Youth
Cocoon House needs your help in getting a new hot meal plan up and running. We need people to donate a hot dinner for 15 to 20 youth one night a week.
Donate once, or even once a month, truly up to you! Our hope is to get a hot meal donated at least once a week starting in December. We don’t have a kitchen, or the supplies to cook anything, so you’d have to bring in the complete meal to our drop-in resource center for homeless and street dependent youth which is open Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1601 Broadway. This center provides basic needs to youth ages 13-20 years old that truly need help and assistance…

Volunteer of the Month: Ginger Coutts
Cocoon House has many amazing volunteers, and the Volunteer of the Month award is our way of saying thank you to these generous people who have donated so much of their time and skills. This month, Cocoon House would like to recognize Ginger Coutts as the Volunteer of the Month!
Ginger has been volunteering with Cocoon House on a weekly basis since June of 2011. She has helped the organization with numerous activities, including event planning, life skills programming, mentoring, as well as several special projects. She has a BA from Western Washington University and hopes to eventually get her MA from Antioch University. Her future plans are to work with underserved and traumatized youth. Ginger has been such a huge help to Cocoon House, always bringing a positive attitude and being willing to take on any task we give her. Thank you, Ginger!
