The Private Grant Manager, internally referred to as the Corporate and Foundation Partnerships Manager, must possess excellent writing, verbal and relationship management skills. The Private Grant Manager must be highly organized with the ability to implement systems, effectively work under pressure, use independent judgement and produce a quality work within tight time constraints. Requires proven record of accomplishment in securing new funding opportunities for foundations and corporations, has comprehensive knowledge of research and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for special programs. This position is a critical member of Cocoon House’s fundraising team.

Private Grant Manager Duties & Responsibilities
Full-Time | On-site in Everett
Starting Salary: $64,000-$68,000 | +$1.50/hr pay differential for multi-lingual skills with additional paperwork
Manage Agency Private grants processes
Research private grant proposals
Generates proposals and supporting documents for solicitations
Generates persuasive grant applications and meets all deadlines
Track all reporting deadlines
Regularly track to ensure revenue goals are met
Implement stewardship plan specific to private foundations and grantors
Manage 50-60 private foundations each year
Corporate Giving
Enhance and expand a comprehensive Corporate Giving and Engagement fundraising plan

Youth Housing (Everett & Monroe)

As a Youth Housing Support Staff, internally referred to as a Residential Youth Counselor, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for teens in the care of Cocoon House, promoting positive interaction, providing life skills, social skills, and other enrichment activities at our Transitional Living Program located in Everett and/or Emergency Shelter located in Monroe. Youth Housing Support Staff have the opportunity to build supportive relationships with clients and model healthy boundaries while working alongside them in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth, knowledge of best practices in youth development, and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives. Youth Housing Support Staff Duties & Responsibilities
Full-Time, Part-Time, On-Call/Relief Hours Available | On-site in Everett & Monroe locations. Both programs are 24/7 and have three shifts. Please note that certain shifts may not be available at the time you apply for the role. Those hours are:
Day - 8:00am to 4:00pm
Swing - 3:30pm to 11:30pm
Overnight -11:00pm to 8:30am
Starting Wages: $21-23/hr depending on shift | +$1.50/hr pay differential for multi-lingual skills with additional paperwork
Build supportive relationship with youth and staff with a positive and collaborative approach.
Maintain and model healthy and safe boundaries with youth.
Accept a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural and spiritual practices.
Assess emergency situations, gather pertinent information, and provide proper support.
Follow mandating reporting and licensing policies and procedures.
De-escalate youth in crises and utilize anti-racist, inclusive, equity-based, and trauma-informed care in all of their work.
Process intakes and exits for youth, provide orientation to incoming youth to the program, and enter required data for proper recordkeeping.
Partner with case managers to support youth case plans and interact with you in alignment with their established plans. This includes communicating with fellow staff regarding the plan and maintaining appropriate logs and forms with updated information.
Supervise youth in the program and ensure safety while holding youth accountable to policies, guidelines, and rules by assigning appropriate consequences in collaboration with fellow staff.
Assisting, demonstrating, and teaching youth household tasks.
Maintain cleanliness of facilities.
Provide meals including grocery shopping, planning, and cooking.
Arrange appointments, fill prescriptions, and dispense medication for youth.
Communicate with other providers to assure youth are following through with their commitments.
Respond to community calls, drop-ins, and referrals with appropriate information and directions.
Participate in enrichment activities programming and planning with fellow staff.
Provide information and directions for off-site services to youth.

Outreach

At Cocoon House we work with youth, young adults, and families in Snohomish County to break the cycle of homelessness through outreach, housing, prevention, and education. The Youth Engagement Team works one-on-one with young people experiencing homelessness, and the Navigators will provide support and guidance in finding housing and addressing the issues that contribute to homelessness, including financial, medical, legal, and educational needs, with the final goal of establishing a permanent housing solution for that individual.
The Juvenile Justice Navigator will work with youth and young adults experiencing homelessness, with a focus on youth under the age of 18, to navigate systems, coordinate service delivery, and otherwise support the young person throughout their journey to permanent housing stability. The Juvenile Justice Navigator will also work closely with and act as point of contact for Snohomish County’s Juvenile Justice system, building the majority of their caseload with referrals from Denney Juvenile Justice Center. The Youth Navigator will conduct outreach in various locations and with relevant community partners to build a caseload of about 20-30 young people currently experiencing homelessness or at high risk to experience homelessness.
Juvenile Justice Navigator Duties & Responsibilities:
Full-Time 40 hrs/week | On-site in Everett, Snohomish County
Wages: $21.50-$23.50/hr | +$1.50/hr pay differential for multi-lingual skills with additional paperwork
Establish and maintain a professional, supportive relationship with youth involved with the juvenile justice system.
Provide youth-driven case management to youth on caseload with a focus on gaining stable housing. Continue working with youth until they are stably housed and able to maintain housing.
Identify and connect other supports as needed, both natural and professional. Coordinate care with services youth access.
Collaborate effectively with Cocoon House programs to ensure seamless, unduplicated service delivery to youth and young adults in our programs and the community.
Build strong relationships with community partners with an emphasis on those associated with the juvenile justice system. Provide education and promote Cocoon House programs with community partners.
Complete all paperwork and data entry in an accurate and timely manner.
Attend all necessary meetings and strive for clear communication with all involved parties.

Family Advocates provide family case management with a total caseload of 10 to 12 families. Family Advocates also help facilitate parenting classes for parents and youth monthly. They also respond to community calls, collaborate with community partners, and work collaboratively across Cocoon House programs to ensure consistency of care for youth and families.

Provide expertise in resource navigation for the Family Engagement team at Cocoon House
Support youth and families in navigating public and community resources
Provide adequate follow up to ensure connections to community resources are able to be made
Drop-in and Phone Line Support for Families
Provide weekly drop-in support for families experiencing instability in Everett and Lynnwood
Provide families with community resources, basic needs supplies, and parenting support
Make referrals to other Cocoon House services as well as agency partners
This position includes mostly day hours with two evenings each week and at least one weekend day each month.
